Key Responsibilities
As a Disability Support Assistant, you'll be a beacon of support and encouragement for students with learning difficulties. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

  • Personalised Assistance: Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with daily living activities and personal care, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Community Engagement: Inspire and facilitate participation in community activities and social interactions, helping students build connections and friendships.
  • Tailored Care Plans: Implement and creatively adapt individualised care plans to meet the evolving needs of each student, ensuring they receive the best possible support.
  • Positive Environment: Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere that upholds the dignity and respect of all individuals, making the school a welcoming place for everyone.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the support provided and progress made, sharing insights and updates with team members and family members.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in disability support or healthcare are desirable, showcasing your commitment to professional growth.
