Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is helping to place a WCA Clinical Assessor in Salisbury. This hybrid role suits registered nurses, physiotherapists or occupational therapists who want to move away from frontline clinical work while applying their expertise to detailed work-capability assessments.

You will assess how health conditions affect functional work capacity, produce evidence-based reports, and operate within DWP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered nurses, physiotherapists or occupational therapists with post-registration clinical experience.
• Ability to perform clinical assessment, history-taking and evidence evaluation.
• Confident with professional decision-making and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured Work Capability Assessments (WCA).
• Take detailed clinical histories and assess functional limitations.
• Review and analyse medical evidence.
• Assess impact of conditions on functional capacity.
• Produce clear, objective clinical reports.

Location: Salisbury – Hybrid

Salary: £42,000–£43,000 + bonus opportunities

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

No weekends, nights or bank holidays

A WCA Clinical Assessor role gives you the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement in a structured, non-front line environment.

You’ll assess how an individual's health conditions and disabilities affect their functional ability and capacity for work, using your clinical expertise to produce accurate, evidence-based reports.

What You’ll Do

Who We're Looking For

You must be a registered:

• Nurse – NMC
• Physiotherapist – HCPC
• Occupational Therapist – HCPC

You should have relevant post-registration clinical experience and be confident with clinical assessment, history-taking, evidence evaluation and professional decision-making.

Please note: This position is specifically for the three registered professions listed above. Applications from Social Workers, Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers, Paramedics, Receptionists, Administrators or other professions will not meet the requirements.
