Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in York for a hybrid role combining home working with assessment centres. You will conduct PIP assessments, analyse evidence, and write detailed reports, using clinical reasoning and established frameworks.

Essential registrations and UK experience are required, with a competitive salary and structured progression. The position offers a stable schedule, 25 days leave, training, and support, plus a discretionary bonus

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

Salary: £39,500 - £41,000per annum + OTE up to £47,150

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work‑life balance.

What you'll do
