Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Trauma and Orthopaedic service for a Directorate Support Manager. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail orientated individual to manage the day-to-day clinical rotas for Trauma and Orthopaedics within North Manchester General Hospital.

Within this exciting opportunity, you will have an appreciation of the NHS, its infrastructure, and will have proven skills in developing, introducing, and maintaining systems and processes to guarantee an efficient and effective service that supports the delivery of activity and performance targets.

A proven track record in clinical activity co-ordination would be advantageous as would a passion to improve patient care. You will be educated to a good general standard and have experience of working in an acute hospital environment. You should be committed to delivering our core values with pride, respect, empathy, consideration, compassion, and dignity. You will have excellent IT skills and a flexible approach to work. You will need excellent attention to detail and evidence of working in a team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the management activity scheduling and performance reporting across the varying specialties, ensuring that a comprehensive, high quality, efficient administrative service is provided. Working closely with a network of admin and clinical leads, the post holder will operate within clearly defined limits of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines of the services to ensure our patient pathway waiting times are maintained.
