Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Directorate Manager to lead the Surgery, Women’s and Children’s Directorate. The role involves running the directorate, meeting local and national performance standards, and driving service change in collaboration with the Clinical Lead, Matron and Clinical Director.

Candidates should have senior management experience in an acute setting and a proven record of managing complex change, with strong communication and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Senior management experience, preferably in an acute healthcare setting
• Track record of managing complex change
• Experience leading complex change across multiple services
• Excellent communication and influencing skills

Responsibilities

• Provide clear managerial leadership of the directorate, working with the Clinical Lead, Clinical Director, Matron, Director of Operations and Chief of Surgery
• Ensure high quality patient care and the most efficient, cost-effective use of resources
• Ensure local and national performance standards and objectives are met in all work areas
• Ensure the operational delivery of services
• Lead and implement change management initiatives to improve service provision
• Work as part of the triumvirate management team with the Matron and Clinical Director
• Provide leadership across the rest of the directorate
