Overview

Are you an experienced and compassionate nursing leader with a passion for reproductive health and women’s services? We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Nursing and Professions to lead our Reproductive Health Directorate within the Family Health Care Group at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH).

This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic and professional leadership across a diverse portfolio of services, including:

• Gynaecology
• Gynaecology Oncology
• Sexual Health
• Fertility
• Clinical Genetics

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care, while championing professional standards, workforce development, and continuous service improvement. As a key member of the directorate leadership team, you will help shape the future of reproductive health services at one of the UK's largest acute teaching hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing and allied health professional teams within the Reproductive Health Directorate.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and safe patient care through effective clinical governance.
• Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and AHP staff.
• Collaborate with senior multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement service improvements and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare professionals, both within the Trust and externally.
• Oversee the management of budgets, resources, and staffing across the Directorate.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, development, and improvement, ensuring the Directorate remains at the forefront of clinical practice.
• Contribute to Trust-wide strategic planning, policies, and clinical initiatives.

The role is split between two campuses with services spanning the Queens Medical and City Hospital sites.
