Novartis in London invites a Director, Translational Medicine Expert (Neurodegeneration) to lead end-to-end translational strategy, bridging preclinical research to early clinical development (Phase 1-2). The role oversees biomarker strategy, endpoint selection, and early trial design to enable data-driven decisions across milestones.

Responsibilities span trial design, cross-functional leadership, external collaborations, patient-centered development, and portfolio input.

Formación

• MD, neurologists, clinical training in neurodegenerative diseases.
• Experience in translational medicine, early clinical development, or experimental therapeutics.
• Ability to shape development strategies, execute early clinical studies, and influence regulatory/packages supporting differentiation.

Responsabilidades

• Translational Strategy & Program Leadership: define and execute integrated translational strategies across neurodegeneration programs.
• Biomarker & Endpoint Leadership: develop and validate molecular biomarkers, functional endpoints, PROs, and establish quantitative biomarkers for target engagement and disease modification.
• Early Clinical Development (Phase 1/2): co-lead design and execution of early clinical studies, define dose escalation strategy, and enable translation endpoints.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: serve as Translational Medicine representative within global project teams and coordinate with Clinical Development, Pharmacology, Safety, and Regulatory.
• External Scientific Leadership: build collaborations with academic KOLs, patient groups, technology partners, and contribute to scientific strategy.
• Patient-Centered Development: integrate patient voice, advance functional endpoints, and explore innovative trial approaches.
