Job Title: Director, Sustainable Procurement & Risk

Location: London Kings Cross

This leadership role involves designing, developing, and delivering services and initiatives related to sustainable procurement and risk management. It requires a strategic approach, deep expertise, and collaboration across teams.

Ideal Candidate: Hard-working, motivated, curious, with a passion for sustainable business practices. Experience in sustainability and third-party risk management is essential. An interest in procure-tech and sustainability financing is advantageous. The goal is to build a customer-facing market proposition and expand Liberty Blume Procurement Services (LBPS) influence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sustainable Procurement: Develop and implement strategies, identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier sustainability, and lead Scope 3 emissions initiatives.
  2. Risk Management: Create and execute supply chain risk programs, manage risk assessment frameworks, policies, and mitigation strategies across various risk categories.
  3. Compliance and Regulations: Monitor relevant laws and standards, ensure compliance, and address gaps through controls and improvements.
  4. Partner Engagement: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and industry bodies to promote risk and sustainability initiatives, gather feedback, and improve solutions.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs, utilize data analytics, and report on performance to senior management and clients.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Evolve services based on industry trends and foster a culture of innovation.
  7. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sustainability and risk professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in sustainability and risk management within procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Deep knowledge of risk frameworks, ESG standards, and industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with procure-tech solutions and supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
