Job Description

Position: Director, Subscription Finance

The Bank seeks a Director to join its Subscription Finance team in London. Responsibilities include origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and management of EMEA subscription finance transactions, including related fund-level products such as hybrid fund financing, foreign exchange, and derivatives.

Key competencies include:

  • Communication: Strong communication and relationship-building skills; proactive and collaborative work style with minimal supervision.
  • Execution: Deep technical knowledge and experience in fund finance; manages closing processes, coordinates with stakeholders, resolves complex issues.
  • Credit: Strong credit risk and quantitative skills; experienced in legal documentation; able to present credit and commercial rationale to senior stakeholders.

Business Area

This Director-level role is part of the EMEA Subscription Finance Team, within the Specialised Products Department, which includes Leverage Finance, Structured Real Estate Finance, and NAV Finance. The team is part of a Global Fund Finance Solutions platform, with centralized functions in New York and collaboration across US, APAC, and EMEA regions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Managing Director, Subscription Finance EMEA
  • Leads origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and management of subscription finance transactions across EMEA
  • Partners with a high-performing team to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Drives business growth and strengthens sponsor client relationships
  • Develops fund-level activities and oversees strategic initiatives
  • Acts as deal team leader, supervising junior team members
  • Builds and maintains strong client and internal relationships
  • Identifies and mitigates risks within the portfolio, providing timely updates
