Job Description:

What is the opportunity? The role of Director, Structured Product Trading is a trader role on the EMEA STP trading desk managing the Mono Index book and flow initiative support STP trading. This position ensures compliance of trades within the market risk framework, regulatory and tax frameworks, and the bank's risk appetite.

What will you do?

  • Price client trades and support hedging and risk management trades.
  • Support on Multi index trades in case of absence.
  • Mark relevant market parameters to match fair market levels.
  • Support trading teams in daily tasks.
  • Ensure trades are booked accurately and timely.
  • Develop strong relationships with global Sales teams, delivering prices on time and balancing sales credit with trade quality.
  • Participate in platform development efforts for better results.
  • Improve risk management systems and develop relevant tools.
  • Identify operational/control deficiencies.
  • Explore opportunities for future business growth within RBC's risk appetite and strategic outlook, in conjunction with Global Product Heads.
  • Adhere to SPGC guidelines, SPCF, SPAF, and all regulations.
  • Escalate issues to compliance, operational risk, management, or relevant functions.
  • Identify and remediate issues that could lead to unfair treatment of customers.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven experience on an equity derivatives desk (trading, structuring, or sales) in a financial institution, in a quantitative or programming role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics.
  • Strong numerical and quantitative skills.
  • FCA registration.

Nice-to-have

  • MSc in Mathematical Finance or Financial Engineering.
