Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking an experienced quant developer to lead the development of a cross-asset analytics platform for front office sales, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on software development role. The candidate will collaborate with senior stakeholders and users to define requirements, implement back-end and UI components in partnership with technology teams, and ensure consistency with other firm-wide initiatives. This role offers significant exposure to senior management and very strong communication skills are essential.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver a cross-asset front office analytics platform to sales personnel.
- Engagement with sales users and senior stakeholders in sales and trading businesses.
- Interact with senior management to report progress and suggest strategic direction.
- Design of the system and the associated APIs.
- Hands-on development of backend and front-end components, focusing on Python and React.
- Ensure that the platform aligns with Barclays' strategic initiatives by collaborating with partners in the Technology organization.
