  • Develop and manage a robust sales funnel to meet pipeline growth goals as an individual contributor and as a manager.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, providing detailed management of deals, performance, and development.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, including lead generation, territory planning, deal qualification, strategy, evaluation, closing, and account management.
  • Understand and effectively communicate Gordian’s value proposition, coaching team members on articulating this to prospects.
  • Partner with Sales and organizational leadership to execute strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth.
  • Leverage market knowledge and client feedback to influence Gordian’s product development roadmap, creating opportunities for market expansion.
  • Determine customer needs, identify challenges and expectations, gather business intelligence, and recommend solutions, highlighting features and benefits to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Maintain accountability for sales activities, ensuring accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and activity logging in the CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Gordian solutions and competitive positioning in the market.
  • Utilize individual selling skills to capitalize on key revenue opportunities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance job performance and personal growth.
  • Drive the standardization of Gordian’s business practices and methodologies.
  • Identify and pursue key markets and business development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience selling to local authorities, universities, maintenance service providers, and NHS Trusts.
  • Strong understanding of construction-related data and SaaS data solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or player-coach capacity.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and mentor a sales team with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
