Job Summary

The Director of Quality Management and Education at ScionHealth is responsible for planning and implementing hospital-wide performance improvement programs, providing education to staff and medical personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role includes overseeing infection control, risk management, staff training, and regulatory surveys such as JCAHO and CMS. The director acts as a resource for medical staff and management, manages employee health services, and leads quality assurance initiatives.

Essential Functions

1. Plan and execute hospital performance improvement programs.
2. Facilitate hospital-wide CQI activities and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
3. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure hospital compliance.
4. Manage equipment safety, communication, and documentation systems.
5. Prepare for and oversee regulatory inspections and surveys.
6. Develop and coordinate staff education, orientation, and ongoing training programs.
7. Manage employee health initiatives, including screenings and immunizations.
8. Lead infection control policies, monitor infection rates, and collaborate with health departments.
9. Participate in risk management and safety activities.
10. Support medical staff and hospital leadership in quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state; BLS certification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in hospital quality or risk management.
• Management or clinical preceptor experience preferred.
