Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is recruiting a Director – Commercial & Complex Procurement for the Public Sector to lead high-value government engagements from strategy through delivery.

You will shape procurement approaches, manage senior client relationships, and grow the consulting business across UK central government and arm’s-length bodies. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, design market engagements, and ensure successful bids while shaping propositions to strengthen the practice.

Qualifications

• Consulting background with experience leading complex UK public sector procurements.
• Track record of winning consulting work and building senior client relationships.
• Experience with major technology procurements or complex sourcing transactions.
• Strong knowledge of UK public procurement requirements across the commercial lifecycle.
• Ability to manage delivery teams and advise senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise government clients on high-value sourcing decisions and complex transactions.
• Shape commercial strategies, business cases, and delivery models.
• Lead market engagement, tender design, evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Structure pricing, risk allocation, incentives and supplier performance measures.
• Lead consulting engagements and multidisciplinary teams, providing direction and quality assurance.
• Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and supplier executives.
• Own a sales target, originate opportunities, lead proposals and grow client accounts.
• Develop propositions that strengthen the public-sector commercial practice.
