Job Description:

Lonza is a global leader in life sciences, committed to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a driven Project Initiation Lead to support our Global Engineering Capital Projects in Slough, UK. This role involves leading capital investment projects from initiation to beneficial use, managing cross-functional teams, and serving as the primary contact for project initiation activities within the Global Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure project setup aligns with and delivers the Global Engineering Front end initiation process.
2. Manage project costs, scope, deliverables, and schedule; address issues and mitigate risks.
3. Screen business ideas and develop project execution strategies.
4. Set project budgets, schedules, and controls; manage scope changes.
5. Supervise project discipline leads, including contractors and project managers.

Key Requirements:

1. Master's degree in Engineering or extensive project management experience in international settings.
2. Experience managing large capital projects (>200mCHF) in pharmaceutical industries, with knowledge in GMP facilities, site design, automation, and utilities.
3. Knowledge of facility design, process modeling, HVAC, waste management, and utilities.
4. Understanding of CDM regulations, construction management, and environmental practices.
5. Proven compliance with MHRA, FDA, and EU regulations.
6. Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
