Job Description:

Our client, a GCC based Pension Fund, are seeking an experienced and strategic investment professional to lead their Private Credit Fund Allocations. As Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing their private credit investment strategy globally, with a focus on fund investments. You will lead all aspects of the allocation process, including pipeline development, manager selection, due diligence, structuring, and portfolio monitoring. This is a high-impact, senior-level position reporting directly to the Head of Alternatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Leadership: Develop and refine the global private credit strategy, with emphasis on fund investments
  • Fund Sourcing & Selection: Lead sourcing and evaluation of best-in-class private credit fund managers across geographies, sectors, and return profiles
  • Due Diligence & Structuring: Oversee all aspects of investment due diligence, including qualitative assessments, risk analysis, legal negotiations, and investment memo preparation
  • Portfolio Construction: Optimise portfolio allocation by ensuring diversification, risk-adjusted return potential, and alignment with the broader investment strategy
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for fund managers and internal committees
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of global private credit markets, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in private credit fund-of-funds, or institutional allocator roles
  • Demonstrated track record of successful private credit fund selection and portfolio construction
  • Strong network within the private credit manager and GP community
  • Experience working with or within sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, or large institutional investors preferred
