This is a great moment to join us as we are hiring aDirector Private Credit. This position is based in Munich or London.

You will be part of the investment team, doing origination and execution of transactions. You will also be in charge of managing any stressed situations in the corporate portfolio and lead on distressed situations that may arise.

Based in Zurich, Paris, London, Munich, Rotterdam and Singapore, the Direct Lending platform is composed of 28 investment professionals (including 3 dedicated to asset management). With c. €10bn AUM, we invest in European mid-market direct lending transactions (including Impact transactions), in Emerging Markets and have a dedicated Asia strategy.

What you will do

  • Part of the investment team doing origination and execution of transactions
      • Maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, advisors, corporates, and counsels
      • Contribute to investment and IC, in particular with regard to structuring and way-out
      • Facilitating relationships with other teams: Investment committee members, product specialists and support functions (risk management, legal, operations, compliance, products)
  • You would be lead on managing distress situations
      • I Work with internal and external parties as part of the negotiation process
      • Run scenario analysis to elaborate recommendation that maximise value for our investors
      • Implement complex work-out and restructuring
      • Communicate to clients thought the processes in a constructive way
  • Collaborate with asset management team and provide opinion on material waivers and consents
  • Work with asset management to oversee early signs of distress
  • Monitor market and legal trends
  • Participate in fundraising and client due diligence when needed

What you bring

  • 12 years + of overall experience with meaningful restructuring experience. Background could be:
  • Private debt investment professional with direct restructuring experience
  • Special situation group
  • Restructuring and debt advisory firm
  • Portfolio management function of a bank or an asset manager, with a focus on work-out / restructuring
  • Track-record of managing stressed or distressed situations
  • Strong negotiator, able to drive complex restructuring and workouts, including through DIP financing, debt for equity swaps, enforcement of securities across European jurisdictions, preferably Germany, France, UK
  • Strong investment conviction, able to run a credit process, including in-depth financial, credit and legal analysis
  • Capacity and appetite to originate investment opportunities and build networks / relationships
  • Fluency in English. German would be a plus.
  • Represent us at a senior level and interacts with clients, borrowers, and PE funds
  • Investor-centric approach
  • Eagerness to join a developing platform with a sustainability, transition and impact investing passion and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work for different type of direct lending transactions (senior, unitranche) and to work both on restructuring and on new transactions
