What You’ll Do

As Director of PR & Communications, you will be at the intersection of brand storytelling and corporate reputation, leading strategic communications for some of the world’s most iconic fashion, sports, and lifestyle brands while elevating Authentic’s corporate profile across the EMEA region. Based in London, you will oversee high-impact PR strategies for brands including Ted Baker, Hunter, Champion, Reebok, Juicy Couture, and Quiksilver, while also driving regional execution of corporate initiatives such as strategic partnership announcements, executive visibility, and internal communications. This is a stand-alone role and will require someone who is agile and a self-starter.

You will play a key role in launching Authentic’s regional Style Studio, a dynamic hub for media engagement, VIP networking, and campaign activations. Your expertise in cultivating relationships with media, influencers, stylists, and tastemakers will be instrumental in amplifying both brand relevance and corporate credibility across Europe and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity to shape Authentic’s communications footprint in one of its most important growth regions—blending creative storytelling with business impact, and ensuring our messaging resonates across audiences from press to partners, stakeholders, and beyond.

What You’ll Work On
  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to EMEIA business leaders, aligning PR efforts with Authentic and its brands’ and growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute integrated PR strategies for fashion, sports, and lifestyle brands in collaboration with regional licensing partners—ensuring alignment with global priorities and market-specific needs.
  • Drive earned media results by cultivating high-impact relationships with top-tier media, stylists, celebrities, and influencers across TV/film, digital, social, and print channels.
  • Lead media and influencer seeding programs to secure meaningful product placements that elevate brand equity and consumer engagement.
  • Partner with the Global Communications team to activate Authentic’s corporate narrative across EMEIA, including acquisitions, executive visibility, and strategic announcements.
  • Protect and strengthen brand reputation through consistent storytelling, proactive press engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage reputation and issues response across brand and corporate levels, ensuring clear, coordinated messaging across stakeholders and markets.
  • Contribute to internal communications initiatives that reinforce company culture, leadership visibility, and regional team engagement.
  • Recap PR efforts and results, sharing key outcomes and insights with leadership, business development teams, and external partners to demonstrate the success and impact of PR activities.

The London Style Studio will serve as a dynamic hub for creativity, connection, and collaboration, strategically positioned to amplify Authentic’s presence in the European market. This space is designed to:

  • Host Exclusive Product Showcases; highlight the latest collections from iconic brands like Ted Baker, Hunter, Champion, and Juicy Couture, creating an intimate setting for media, stylists, celebrities, and influencers to experience the craftsmanship and storytelling behind each piece.
  • Enable Collaborations; provide a platform for meaningful partnerships with top-tier media, influencers, celebrities, and tastemakers, fostering organic brand advocacy and engagement.
  • Act as a Campaign Launchpad; serve as the platform for unveiling high-impact campaigns, from seasonal launches to major collaborations, ensuring maximum visibility and buzz.

Must Haves:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in public relations or a related field – agency experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in securing high-impact media coverage across national and trade outlets in fashion, retail, business, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle.
  • Strong relationships with key media contacts, stylists, celebrities, and influencers, with a deep understanding of the current media landscape.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with targeted audiences.
  • Strong understanding of trends, news cycles, and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to draft press materials, deliver presentations, and manage media relations.
  • A proactive, innovative thinker who is always looking for creative ways to engage media, influencers, and consumers.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams across marketing, product, and brand departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the flexibility to adapt and find solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Managerial skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a direct report.
  • Independent worker who is happy to roll up their sleeves and work on all levels of work, from day to day operational needs through to strategic decision making.
