The Team
Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG), part of KPMG Deal Advisory in the UK, comprises around 400 professionals and is recognized as a leading independent adviser in infrastructure. The group offers strategic, financial, regulatory, and commercial advice on infrastructure investments across transport, power & utilities, and social infrastructure globally. We assist clients with market design, policy analysis, deal structuring, and strategic advice to facilitate private and public investments.
Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr. Matt Firla-Cuchra, is the largest area within IAG, with approximately 85 FTEs, serving major UK and European energy and water companies. We provide advice on strategy, regulation, corporate finance, and economics to help clients create value and navigate policy and market dynamics. Our work is highly regarded, influencing the utilities sector's future.
Our P&U division includes six practices: Water Regulation, Energy Regulation, Finance, Projects, Transactions & Energy Transition, and Cost Benchmarking, experiencing double-digit growth over the past decade. We seek high-caliber candidates to support our expansion and service development.
The Role
You will join the Transactions & Energy Transition sub-team, which has 10 FTEs and has experienced significant growth.
The Director will lead the team, working closely with the Managing Director.
Roles & Responsibilities
The projects involve high-profile, diverse energy transition initiatives, including advising on takeovers, market prospects, unregulated water businesses, hydrogen policies, energy scenario planning, strategic reviews, and supporting utilities' net-zero strategies.
