We assist clients with market design, policy analysis, deal structuring, and strategic advice to facilitate private and public investments.

Power & Utilities (P&U), led by Dr. Matt Firla-Cuchra, is the largest area within IAG, with approximately 85 FTEs, serving major UK and European energy and water companies. We provide advice on strategy, regulation, corporate finance, and economics to help clients create value and navigate policy and market dynamics. • Supporting the Transactions segment by offering strategic, commercial, and regulatory due diligence on complex transactions, and providing M&A and financial advice in energy transition sectors in collaboration with KPMG Corporate Finance.
  • Building strong client relationships, acting as the primary contact for project and market opportunities.
  • Leading client engagements and maintaining expertise in energy networks, water, energy efficiency, and related sectors.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and risk management procedures.
  • Managing and mentoring team members, serving as a role model aligned with the firm's values.

The projects involve high-profile, diverse energy transition initiatives, including advising on takeovers, market prospects, unregulated water businesses, hydrogen policies, energy scenario planning, strategic reviews, and supporting utilities' net-zero strategies.
