Job Title: Global PMO (Project Management Office) Director

Location: Riyadh

Employment Type: Full-Time On Site

Job Summary:

The Global PMO Director will lead and manage the global Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the effective execution of strategic programs and projects across all regions and business units. This executive-level role is responsible for establishing best-in-class governance frameworks, standardizing project methodologies, and aligning project execution with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic vision, leadership, and operational excellence to drive enterprise-wide transformation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

PMO Leadership & Strategy

Define and evolve the global PMO strategy in alignment with corporate goals.

Establish and continuously improve standardized project management processes, tools, and metrics.

Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on project prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.

Governance & Portfolio Management

Oversee the global project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities.

Implement governance frameworks that support transparency, accountability, and value delivery.

Monitor and report on the health, performance, and ROI of programs and projects.

Team Management & Capability Building

Build and lead a high-performing global PMO team, including regional PMO leads and program/project managers.

Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to foster professional growth and delivery excellence.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement and project excellence across the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Act as the primary liaison between the PMO and senior leadership, business unit leaders, and key stakeholders.

Ensure timely and effective communication of project progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.

Champion change management initiatives to support smooth adoption of project outcomes.

Technology & Tools

Evaluate, implement, and optimize project management software and tools.

Leverage data analytics and dashboards to enable proactive decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, including at least 5 years in a senior PMO leadership role.

Proven track record of managing complex global portfolios and delivering large-scale transformation initiatives.

Experience leading cross-functional and multicultural teams in a matrixed global environment.

Certifications (preferred):

PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus (e.g., SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM).
