Job Description:

Director, Portfolio Architecture to provide technology leadership and innovation focused on the Business Automation portfolio.

Location: Hybrid 3 days Downtown Toronto

Duration: Permanent/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Accountable to ensure high quality delivery of leading-edge solutions that meet time and cost requirements that align with business unit (BU) and enterprise architecture principles and design standards.
• Proactively identify areas (i.e., trendspotting) and opportunities to use technology to enhance customer experience and organizational efficiency.
• Research and recommend opportunities to leverage technology and stay updated with industry trends to support the strategy.
• Direct technology research and sponsor line of business (LOB) initiatives (early-stage development/prototype) supporting BU strategy.
• Support development of business strategies by producing Business Automation Platforms capability models, technology roadmaps, architectural standards, and patterns to achieve business goals.
• Provide leadership in managing IT risks (e.g., security, disaster recovery, solution quality) and control requirements.
• Drive a high-performance culture among Solution Architects and influence this culture within IT.
• Ensure collaboration among leaders, employees, and vendors to drive performance and meet organizational values and expectations.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in complex IT environments, preferably in highly regulated or financial services sectors.
• At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience related to projects and teams in Business Automation.
• Expertise in domains such as: Intelligent Document Processing (including OCR), Robotic Process Automation, Business Process Management (Workflow and Case Management), Decision Management, Content Management.
• Knowledge of API, ETL, RPA, Workflow Automation, Case Management, Business Rules Engine, Low Code platforms.
