We are looking for a Director of Platform Operations (all genders) to manage and support our teams. Work closely with other R&D leaders and contribute to department-wide initiatives.
- Lead and oversee the operations of our platform globally across all products, ensuring the availability and performance of our services 24/7.
- Formulate and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Establish and enforce operational processes such as on-call, migrations, customer escalations, and deployments.
- Manage and mentor talented teams of software developers, DevOps engineers, and SREs, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and establish realistic timelines for upcoming projects.
- Encourage open feedback and communication within the team.
- Ensure the personal and professional development of team members to help them reach their full potential.
Requirements
- A university or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years in a leadership role in an agile environment.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- A hands-on mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- Strong knowledge of microservice architecture, database design principles, scalable distributed systems, security, and network communication.
- Expertise in cloud-native development technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and knowledge of at least one high-level language.
- Experience working with major cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, AWS).
- Structured and analytical working methods and a good team spirit.
- A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges daily.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as German are a plus.
