Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the United Kingdom is seeking a Director, Pharmacovigilance Alliance Contracting and Management to lead strategic PV contracting and alliance management. This hybrid, office-based role will be based in High Wycombe with a planned move to Maidenhead in October 2026, requiring three days on-site each week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 8 years within a drug safety environment with Pharmacovigilance operational responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, industry standards, and PV alliance governance.
• Proven people leadership experience, including talent development, coaching, performance management, and fostering high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrix environment and build effective partnerships across global, cross-functional, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to negotiate Pharmacovigilance Agreements and safety-related contractual terms, with strong influence, risk assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading strategic alliances, business partnerships, or governance activities within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
• Proven success establishing governance structures, managing executive-level stakeholder relationships, and driving performance across strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Leading the strategy, negotiation, and execution of global and local Pharmacovigilance Agreements (PVAs).
• Providing strategic leadership for the global PV Alliance Contracting (PAC) function and the PAC team.
• Supporting alliance governance and partnership management activities for PV collaborations.
• Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on PV contractual obligations and governance.
• Collaborating with Legal to govern global and local PV Agreement templates.
• Identifying and proactively managing PV Agreement and alliance-related risks.
