Director, Open Finance Network Standards

The Mastercard Open Finance product team aims to empower consumers to benefit from their financial data through innovative solutions that unlock FinTech potential and streamline consumer experiences. Our platform enables transformative services trusted by leading organizations, shaping the future of financial connectivity.

Role Overview

The Director, Open Finance Network Standards, will define strategies for enabling core use cases like payments and data management, coordinate industry standards, and align global objectives across product teams to support our franchise strategy.

Responsibilities

  1. Define Mastercard's standards and program models for key use cases such as payments and data management.
  2. Engage with cross-functional teams to socialize and operationalize the global vision for Open Finance.
  3. Represent business interests in partnerships and industry forums.
  4. Become an expert in Open Finance use cases and industry trends.
  5. Inform value propositions and product development to support scaling strategies.
  6. Execute frameworks to accelerate revenue and distribution of capabilities.
  7. Coordinate with regional stakeholders to identify synergies and innovation opportunities.
  8. Maintain awareness of industry dynamics and competitive moves.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong understanding of open banking, account-to-account payments, and industry trends, with global experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand complex technologies and workflows, and communicate them clearly.
  • Knowledge of Mastercard Franchise approach and program requirements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills connecting client needs with strategy.
  • Deep experience in payments and financial technology, including regulatory landscape.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with quality and timeliness.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
