Overview

The Global Open Banking and API team develops the future of open banking and a developer-first approach to support innovation with fintech and partners, aiming to realize Mastercard's multi-rail potential.

The Director will support the development and refinement of commercialization and strategic efforts to increase market share and revenue by creating a competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving strategic initiatives for Open Banking from conception to execution.
  • Developing strategic narratives and impactful presentations for senior management.
  • Analyzing industry shifts and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities.
  • Partnering with product teams to guide strategic insights and growth avenues.
  • Originating and championing growth strategies leveraging market understanding.
  • Overseeing operational functions like business reviews, KPI frameworks, and risk management.
  • Mentoring junior team members to foster high performance and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of payments and financial services industry required.
  • 7+ years of experience, including 4+ years in strategy consulting or internal strategy roles, with project leadership experience.
