Job summary

Ingenio Global is partnering with a fast-growing digital engineering consultancy to recruit a Solution Director who thrives on the first client conversation. You will design the solution, present it to senior stakeholders, and hand it to delivery teams to land the outcome.

This role sits between consulting, pre-sales and delivery, demanding strong technical credibility with practical AI experience and proven leadership across large engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering and complex solution architecture experience.
• Practical AI experience, including designing, building or integrating AI-enabled solutions.
• Proven leadership of multiple engineering teams and large technical programmes.
• Confidence engaging with CIOs, CTOs and senior business stakeholders.

• Design and architect complex software solutions, from first sketch to signed-off proposal.

A global digital engineering consultancy is growing fast, and Ingenio is helping them find a Solution Director who gets a buzz from the first conversation with a client.

You know that moment when a CIO lays out a messy, complicated problem and the room goes quiet? This role is about being the person who makes sense of it. You’ll design the solution, bring it to life in front of senior stakeholders, then hand it to a brilliant delivery team and watch it land.

This is not a pure sales role and it’s not a traditional delivery role. It sits in the sweet spot between the two, and strong technical credibility with practical AI experience is non-negotiable.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong software engineering and complex solution architecture experience.
• Practical AI experience, including designing, building or integrating AI-enabled solutions.
• Proven leadership of multiple engineering teams and large technical programmes.
• Confidence engaging with CIOs, CTOs and senior business stakeholders.
• Broad expertise across software engineering, architecture, cloud and modern development practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and delivery plans.

Consulting, professional services and pre-sales experience are desirable, but not essential. A background on the vendor side, selling technology rather than only using it, is a real bonus.
