Director of Technology – SaaS E-commerce Startup (Remote UK)

Remote (UK-based)

Full-Time | Permanent

A high-growth SaaS e-commerce company helping retailers scale with smarter solutions. We’re looking for a Director of Technology to define and drive our engineering strategy, scale our tech teams, and lead the delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-based software systems.

As a director of Technology you’ll report directly to the Co-Founders, own the technical roadmap, manage internal and near-shore engineering teams, and ensure delivery excellence across all software and system integrations.

What You'll Bring:

• Senior engineering leadership experience (Director/ Head of/similar) in e-commerce or retail domains
• Proven track record of defining tech vision and making strategic decisions
• Expertise in modern cloud architectures, secure systems, and the SDLC
• Strong vendor management, budgeting, and compliance knowledge (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2)
• Experience leading distributed teams across time zones
• A passion for innovation, AI adoption, and engineering best practices
