Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity to work with a Global HealthTech leader (Series B | £40m investment) currently looking for a Director of Engineering.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Leading and scaling the R&D and engineering team (Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Architects) within a complex environment.
- Collaborating with executive peers (Product, Growth, Sales & Finance) to develop and implement the overall product roadmap for key business capabilities and goals.
- Driving engineering excellence and best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), automation, security, and infrastructure as code.
- Influencing and contributing to the overall technical architecture of the company’s core platform used by industry-leading companies.
- Providing strategic leadership to the engineering teams (100 staff), including coaching, mentoring, and skills development.
- Fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
What are we looking for?
We seek a highly experienced Engineering leader with a proven track record of attracting, leading, and scaling teams in high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated success in managing platforms at scale, prioritizing security and availability globally.
- Experience in leading and developing large software engineering teams with a focus on high performance.
- Ability to evaluate technology options quickly and recommend effective solutions.
- Extensive technical expertise in areas such as AWS, .NET, TypeScript, Node.js, Terraform, CI/CD, TDD.
- Ability to solve complex challenges across people, processes, and technology, with high intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.
