Director of Software Engineering

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity working with a Global HealthTech leader (Series B | £40m investment) currently looking for a Director of Engineering.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Lead and scale the R&D | engineering team (Software Engineers, Quality Engineers and Architects) within a complex environment.

• Work together with your exec peers (Product, Growth, Sales & Finance) to develop & implement the overall product roadmap for key business capabilities and goals.

• Drive engineering excellence and best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), automation, security and infrastructure as code.

• Influence and contribute to the overall technical architecture of the company’s core platform used by some of the industry leading companies.

• Providing strong and strategic leadership to the engineering teams (100 heads) including coaching, mentoring and promotion skills development.

• Fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a highly experienced Engineering leader with a track record attracting, leading and scaling teams in high growth companies.

• You have a demonstrated success in managing platforms at scale, where security & availability globally is the number 1 priority.
• You’ll have a clear track record of leading and growing large software engineering teams, and a proven track record of driving high performance.
• You will have the ability to deep dive on different technology options quickly and provide recommendations on a path forward.
• You have a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise including (but not limited to) AWS, .net, Typescript, Node, Terraform, CICD, TDD
• You’ll be able to solve complex challenges across people, process and technology. A high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity is essential.
