Job summary

East of England Community Health & Care NHS Trust is seeking aDCO to lead strategic oversight of health services for children and young people with SEND. The role requires coordinating health providers, safeguarding and joint commissioning with education, social care and voluntary sectors to improve outcomes across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The post emphasises assurance, performance measurement, Equality and reducing inequalities while guiding local area SEND inspections and complex needs

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND health services and joint commissioning.
• Ability to simplify complex information for senior leadership.
• Strong track record in safeguarding, quality improvement and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and scrutiny for SEND health services.
• Coordinate health providers with local authorities and education services.
• Lead improvement initiatives and performance monitoring for SEND.
• Oversee EHC Plan health provisions and ensure alignment with local offers.
• Develop and maintain multi-agency partnerships for SEND outcomes.
• Support training and upskilling of health providers in SEND requirements.
