Job summary

Switch Tech Talent Limited is seeking an experienced Director of Information Security to lead the security strategy for a growing software house in London. The role blends senior leadership with hands-on technical oversight across security domains and governance.

You will engage with senior stakeholders and the Board to shape risk, strategy and controls, ensuring security is embedded across people, processes and technology in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the information security strategy across the Group.

• Manage vulnerability assessments, pen testing and incident response.
• Drive GDPR, DORA, NIS2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Oversee third-party risk, due diligence and M&A security integration.
• Establish governance around emerging AI technologies.

Location: London – hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Switch Tech Talent is working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Information Security to join a growing software house.

This is a senior leadership position where you'll take ownership of the security strategy, helping the business grow while ensuring security is embedded across its people, processes and technology.

What will you be responsible for?

• Leading and developing the wider information security strategy across the Group.
• Building a strong security culture through awareness, training and engagement.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders and the Board on security strategy and risk.
• Overseeing application, infrastructure, cloud and endpoint security.
• Managing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and incident response.
• Driving compliance across GDPR, DORA, NIS2 and ISO 27001.
• Managing third-party risk, security due diligence and M&A integration.
• Establishing governance around the use of emerging AI technologies.
• Taking ownership of internal IT security, access management and device protection.

Someone who can combine strategic security leadership with a hands‑on understanding of the technical landscape. You'll be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders while also ensuring the right security practices and controls are implemented across the business.
