Overview

ILAC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Sales – Asia Market to drive the growth of our sales efforts in the Asia region. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, building strong relationships with key partners, and expanding ILAC’s presence in Asia. This position will require deep knowledge of the education industry, as well as a strong network of industry professionals in Asia.

This position will preferably be based in China (flexible on location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy Development: Lead the development of ILAC’s sales strategies tailored to the Asia market, identifying key opportunities for growth and partnerships.

• Market Expansion: Establish and cultivate relationships with educational agents, and other institutions to drive student enrollment and brand awareness in the Asia region.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor regional sales team members to meet and exceed sales targets, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on collaboration and results.

• Business Development: Identify new business/sales opportunities and work closely with the Sales team (specifically Head of Sales) to develop customized solutions for prospective clients and partners.

• Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and agents across Asia, ensuring their satisfaction with ILAC’s programs and services.

• Market Research & Analysis: Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends in the Asia market, providing insights to the leadership team to refine business/sales strategies.

• Sales Target Achievement: Drive the achievement of sales targets for student enrollment, revenue, and market share in the Asia region.

• Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular performance reports on sales activities, forecasts, and results to senior leadership, ensuring the timely achievement of sales goals.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in sales and business development, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on the Asia market, preferably in the education or language learning industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field is preferred.

Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the education sector, including student recruitment, agent management, and international education trends in the Asia market.

Leadership & Management Skills: Proven experience in leading a high-performing sales team, managing remote teams, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Cultural Understanding: Strong understanding of the cultural dynamics, business practices, and educational systems in Asia, particularly in countries like China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required; proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous.

Travel: Willingness to travel frequently throughout Asia for business development, client meetings, and industry events.
