Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Manage all sales-related matters within the designated Area.
  • Guide, coach, and instruct the Area sales team.
  • Drive and lead the sales organization to meet all set targets for the Area.
  • Monitor customer performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Stay informed about competition activities and market developments that may impact the business.
  • Adhere to the principles of the Commercial Blueprint and CXS projects.
  • Participate in and support global and regional sales initiatives.
  • Review customer survey results and collaborate with relevant departments to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior customer contacts.
  • Promote the usage of existing and new products offered by Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Liaise with sales management teams in other Areas when required.
  • Collaborate with management in other departments to improve the customer experience.
Person Specification
  • University degree or at least 5 years of experience leading commercial teams, preferably within the maritime industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to organize, review data for accuracy, identify root causes, and develop strategies for improved business performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Hapag-Lloyd’s systems and processes.
