Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation, IP Therapy Services to join the Leadership Council and participate in the establishment of policies and procedures for all IP therapy services.

Responsibilities

The Director of Rehabilitation, IP Therapy Services designs and implements a framework to integrate and coordinate patient care services and program development with all IP therapy departments within the West Orange hospital campus, consistent with quality service and maximization of profit. The Director provides direction, expertise, and mentoring to facilitate the growth and development of IP rehabilitation therapy services. The DOR will direct the daily operations of inpatient physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapy services.

The DOR will be responsible for managing a very large rehabilitation department consisting of approximately 100 direct reports and 4 managers. A key component of the position is a proven track record in strong leadership, interpersonal relations, and effective communication skills dealing with all levels of staff from entry level to senior management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.

Current and valid NJ state licensure as a Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist required. (For Speech discipline: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association required).

Preferred Requirement:

A minimum of seven years of experience as a therapist in an acute rehab setting, including a minimum of five years supervisory experience.
