Job summary

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) invites applications for Head of R&I Assessment & Intelligence. The role leads the team that advises on REF preparations, research intelligence, and strategic decisions to enhance institutional performance.

The postholder will ensure coherent governance, timely delivery, and high-quality service to senior stakeholders in a research-intensive environment.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a research-intensive environment.
• Expertise in research intelligence, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Ability to inform senior decision-making with evaluation and critical thinking.
• Experience with governance, risk controls and performance monitoring.
• Commitment to high-quality service delivery and knowledge management.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior professional leadership for the R&I team.
• Translate work into timely strategic advice for senior institutional decision-making.
• Support successful performance delivery against LSE ambitions and priorities.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance and planning.
