Overview

Director of Quality - Children's Services – Home-based with travel across Cumbria and the North East. Salary: £100,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance.

Compass Associates is exclusively working with a specialist provider of children's residential services, to recruit for a new Director of Quality. This is a strategic leadership role where you will oversee quality and safeguarding across a portfolio of children's residential homes which are located across Cumbria and the North East. Your role will involve supporting Registered Managers both pre- and post-OFSTED inspection, working closely with the Operations Teams and visiting services to meet with staff, children and young people. Reporting into the COO, you will be instrumental in driving internal standards and continuous improvement for quality, strategy and safeguarding, as well as ensuring that the services consistently meet and exceed regulatory requirements and outcomes. Your role will be supported by a Head of Quality & Safeguarding as well as a team of Quality Practitioners.

To excel in this role, you must be immersed in your division, continuously reflect on areas of improvement and proactively ensure the services are delivering the highest quality, care and support for children.

Location and travel

This is a home-based role but you will be required to spend 2-3 days per week in Cumbria and/or the North East. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, as long as you are willing to travel including overnight stays.

Candidate requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Previous experience working at Director level within safeguarding, compliance and/or quality
  • Excellent knowledge and previous experience working within OFSTED regulated homes
  • Excellent communication, leadership and strategic skills
  • UK driving licence and own car
  • Willingness to travel as required
Interview process
