Sanctuary Group in England seeks an experienced Director of Property Services to set strategic direction for repairs, maintenance, compliance and reinvestment across a nationwide, dispersed service. You will lead safety-focused operations, ensure value for money and deliver high customer outcomes.

The role reports to the Chief Customer Officer and requires influential leadership to drive improvement, build strong teams and maintain regulatory compliance across sanctuary homes.

Competenze

• A degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification, preferably in a business-related subject, or equivalent knowledge, technical competence and experience
• A full, current driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly
• Substantial leadership experience within property maintenance, surveying, asset management, reinvestment or contracting
• Proven experience developing and implementing strategy within a large and complex organisation
• Demonstrable commercial acumen with a track record of results and value for money
• Extensive experience of budget preparation and financial control
• Strong leadership and people-management capability
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate Microsoft, and basic PowerPoint and Excel

Mansioni

• Directing operational reinvestment programmes to deliver value for money and improve safety and experience of customers’ homes
• Leading national compliance services and robust contractual frameworks
• Overseeing a five-year asset reinvestment programme informed by asset intelligence and customer needs
• Providing strategic oversight of third-party contracts with focus on safety, quality and outcomes
• Influencing procurement and management of property maintenance contracts
• Maintaining effective control of operational budgets and reporting to leadership and boards
• Building relationships with internal teams, customers, local authorities, contractors and sector partners
• Providing visible leadership across a large, dispersed service to create an inclusive, performance-focused culture
• Representing Sanctuary at national and regional levels to shape policy and best practice
