Job Description:

Our client is seeking to appoint a Director of Policy to raise the profile and public engagement of the organisation with government bodies. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing trends and forecasting potential impacts through market research campaigns
  • Developing policy strategies to guide the organisation and leadership on immediate impacts
  • Ensuring compliance, competitiveness, and alignment with the mission
  • Building a network of government contacts and positioning leadership with policymakers

The goal is to increase public presence, position the organisation as an industry advisor, and influence policy within its industry sectors.

Candidates will have:

  • Experience leading research campaigns and identifying key market/policy trends
  • Strong networking skills within a UK government setting, including contacts with ministers, parliamentary officials, and government agencies
  • Excellent communication skills to convey the organisation's message and develop policy strategies
  • Experience leading teams of industry experts, researchers, and strategic communicators

This role is based in the West Midlands with hybrid working options, requiring 2-3 days on-site per week.

Salary ranges from £80,000 to £90,000, with additional bonuses and benefits.
