Job Description:

Our client is seeking to appoint a Director of Policy to raise the profile and public engagement of the organisation with government bodies. They will be responsible for

  • analysing trends and forecasting potential impacts through the commissioning of market research campaigns
  • developing comprehensive policy strategies to guide the organisation and its leadership on where is can make immediate impacts
  • ensuring that the organisation remains compliant, competitive, and aligned with its mission
  • building a network of government contacts and positioning key leadership with policy-makers

Through building greater public presence, and positioning the organisation as an industry advisor, our client is seeking to become a trusted advisor, influencer of policy, and a greater contributor to the industries that it represents.

Candidates will have

  • demonstrable experience in leading research campaigns and identifying key market/policy trends
  • strong networking and professional network development experience within a UK Gov setting, including ministers, parliamentary officials, and/or government departments/agencies
  • strong communication skills to communicate the organisations message, and work with leadership to create a policy strategy
  • experience of leading a team comprised of industry experts, research, and strategic comms

Our client is based in the West Midlands. This role allows for hybrid working with a required 2-3 days per week on site.

Salary expectations are £80-90,000 with additional bonus and benefits.
