A leading healthcare organization in London is seeking a Director of Planned Care to enhance operational improvements. The successful candidate will oversee planned care programs, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and lead healthcare projects. Extensive experience in operational management and a strong understanding of multidisciplinary actions are essential. The Director of Planned Care holds a senior position within the Trust’s operational team, requiring flexibility and proactive stakeholder engagement to support the Chief Operating Officer in operational improvements aligned with the Trust strategy.
The role involves maintaining oversight of specific programmes and leading Trust-wide and system-wide projects, comparable to the responsibilities of a Divisional Operations Director.
Key responsibilities include developing and supporting delivery of all Trust planned care plans, managing interfaces with key programmes influencing the elective agenda such as finance, transformation, specialised commissioning, primary care, and workforce.
The postholder must possess extensive operational management experience in an acute hospital setting and familiarity with working within complex healthcare systems, demonstrating expertise in best practice planned care and influencing multidisciplinary actions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Planned Care will act autonomously, provide expert advice, and make strategic decisions as needed, including leading the implementation of the corporate agenda and representing the Trust at system meetings.
The role also involves external relationship building with sector and regional partners.
