Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Department of Acute General Medicine (AGM) at the Horton Hospital in Banbury, which offers excellent training in the management of patients on the Critical Care Unit (CCU), inpatient medical and trauma wards, the acute unselected medical take, and the delivery of ambulatory care on the Rowan Ambulatory Unit (RAU).
This post is not recognized for postgraduate medical training but will allow competencies to be gained that may count towards portfolios. Applications will be considered from less than full-time trainees.
Main duties of the job
Attendance at ward rounds, the day-to-day care of patients in wards and outpatient clinics, as appropriate to the grade of the post and under the direction of responsible consultants. The post holder can expect to acquire practical experience and knowledge of the diagnosis and management of selected common medical emergencies, including:
