About GOSH Charity

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) exists to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. As the dedicated charity of Great Ormond Street Hospital, one of the world’s leading paediatric centres, we fund pioneering research, cutting‑edge equipment, and vital support for patients, families and staff.

This is a pivotal moment for GOSH Charity. Following a year of record fundraising, we are launching a new five‑year strategy and delivering some of the most ambitious projects in our history, including a new Children’s Cancer Centre and a landmark £300 million public appeal. As our scale and impact grow, our people and culture have never been more important.

Responsibilities

We are now seeking an exceptional Director of People and Culture to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive, and working closely with the Board, CEO and senior leaders, you will influence strategy at the highest level, lead organisational transformation, and ensure GOSH Charity remains an employer of choice within the charity and not‑for‑profit sector.

Qualifications

You will be a senior, credible people leader with a strong track record of operating at executive or SLT level within a complex organisation. You will bring strategic insight, emotional intelligence and the ability to balance compassion with delivery in a values‑driven environment. Experience in the charity, public or not‑for‑profit sectors is desirable but not essential.

At GOSH Charity, your work will directly contribute to transforming the lives of seriously ill children and their families. You will be part of a purpose‑led organisation with bold ambitions, a collaborative culture, and a genuine commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
