Job Title: Director of Operations – EV Charging Delivery
Reporting To: C-Suite
Salary & Package: DOE £100k to £160k (OTE) + Car + Bonus
Location: London HQ (Hybrid 2/3 days per week on site)
About the Role:
My EV Charging client is seeking a Director of Delivery Operations to lead the operational delivery function for an EV charging infrastructure company. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across multiple delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DC hub deployment, power networks, or grid infrastructure and be able to drive operational excellence at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, and quality targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise delivery operations, improving efficiency and performance across all projects.
- Lead and manage delivery teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, regulatory bodies, and commercial teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices for scaling DC hub installations and power infrastructure.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for the delivery teams.
- Monitor project KPIs and performance metrics, identifying and addressing risks proactively.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in power, network, or grid infrastructure.
- 2-3 years of experience in DC hubs and EV charging projects.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale infrastructure project delivery.
- Strong operational background with a track record of optimising delivery teams and processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Experience with utilities, energy providers, or EV infrastructure companies.
