Director of Operations, wealth management business

Responsible for the delivery of a 5-year business growth plan

Surrey based IFA firm working with HNW & UHNW clients

£90k - £100k basic salary plus future equity stake in the business

About the client

My client is a wealth planning practice based in Surrey who have been operating for 20+ years, and I have placed 5 members of staff into the business. They have an excellent reputation providing very solid financial advice to both private and corporate clients who lives in Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire. They have a large book of business (close to £300m AUM) who are City professionals, families, retirees, and business owners with £500k to invest on average and their top customer holding £15m+ to invest. This boutique firm has a team of Chartered Advisers and a full administrative and paraplanning team.

Role and responsibilities

The business has a very ambitious 5-year growth plan. The Managing Director is seeking a brand Operations Director to lead the strategic delivery of this growth plan. You will have a proven track record of delivery in a similar role within financial services whether it be wealth management, investment management, asset management or similar of delivering a strategic growth plan and growing a business from an operational perspective. The Managing Director will not be selling the business or becoming part of a network or similar. You will be supported by an experienced team of administrators, paraplanners, operations and practice management. You will sit on the board of directors and the executive team and have a leading say in the running of the business moving forward.
