Location: Gloucester/Oxford (multi-site)

Salary: £80,000 + 10% Bonus

We’re representing a fast growing smart manufacturing company at the cutting edge of machine vision, metrology, and automation. They’re seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to join the senior leadership team and help drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

As Head of Operations, you’ll take ownership of operational performance across multiple sites. You’ll lead teams spanning service, logistics, supply chain, production and quality, ensuring delivery excellence while embedding scalable processes for growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing service/support engineers (installation, calibration, maintenance, repair)
  • Driving supply chain performance and on-time delivery
  • Ensuring ISO/quality compliance and risk management
  • Converting orders to revenue and optimising margins
  • Collaborating with leadership to shape and scale operational strategy
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Background in manufacturing, metrology or vision systems
  • Proven track record in operations leadership with hands-on delivery focus
  • Skilled communicator who can simplify complex technical detail for all audiences
  • Experience scaling engineering businesses, managing teams and delivering process improvements
