Job Description:

To meet and exceed our business objectives, we need someone to own, lead, grow, and scale our network and infrastructure.

This role requires IP Network Engineering expertise, along with broader infrastructure engineering and Operational Technology skills, to innovate and automate our systems and take us to the next level.

It offers an opportunity to be forward-thinking, applying existing ideas or researching new solutions.

Our network is 10 years old, stable, and has been evolving without legacy issues. We have built a 14,000 km full-fibre network serving 140,000 customers, with an annual growth rate of 40%. We plan to upgrade our core to 1.2Tb/s early next year.

You will be responsible for the technical strategy, roadmap, and budget. You will also lead and manage multiple teams, including Network Architects, Designers, Engineers, Transmission, and IT Operations.

This is a hybrid role, requiring at least one day per week at our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon.

Experience in large carrier and FTTP/FTTH infrastructure is beneficial but not essential. The key is senior IP network engineering knowledge and the ability to lead teams and align technology with business goals, with a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
