Emerald Law Solicitors is seeking an ambitious Driving Offences Lawyer to establish, lead and develop a Driving Offences Department in Liverpool City Centre. This role offers autonomy to shape the department and drive growth within a dynamic legal practice.

The successful candidate will manage a substantial motoring offence caseload, build client relationships and contribute to the firm’s strategic growth, while delivering exceptional client service.

Formación

• Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with minimum 7 years' experience handling driving offence matters.
• Experience managing a substantial motoring law caseload independently.
• Strong knowledge of road traffic legislation, court procedures, and sentencing guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to generate business.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability.
• Commercial awareness with ability to provide practical and strategic advice.
• Proficiency in IT systems for legal practice management.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and develop the Driving Offences Department from inception and grow a team.
• Manage a caseload of driving offence matters from instruction through resolution.
• Provide clear and practical legal advice on motoring offences (speeding, careless/dangerous driving, drink driving, etc.).
• Maintain organised case files and ensure compliance with procedures, court rules and deadlines.
• Keep up to date with road traffic law developments and relevant case law.
• Regular billing and working to targets.
• Develop departmental procedures, workflows and best practices.
• Identify business development opportunities to grow the department and generate new work streams.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, introducers and referral partners.
• Collaborate with colleagues for cross-referral opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members as the department expands.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
• Contribute to firm's strategic growth plans.
