Job description

A significant amount of time in our media agencies, particularly within digital teams, is spent on duplicate data entry and outdated processes that are time-consuming, inefficient, and prone to errors. These issues hinder our ability to respond to client requests promptly and accurately.

As technology evolves, including the introduction of GenAI in our business, multiple workstreams and stakeholders within OMG are actively exploring solutions to these challenges. The Director of Media Automation will support OMG UK in accelerating these efforts through short-term solutions, such as bespoke GPTs tested locally as POCs and rebuilt in Omni Assist, as well as longer-term enterprise solutions like developing the US Media Ops Hub for the UK market or creating standardized reporting dashboards.

This role is not responsible for technical builds but will partner with various development teams (including Annalect, Business Automation, and Luna) and collaborate with media teams within the agency to understand challenges and design effective solutions. The role also involves supporting the adoption of existing media operations solutions and ensuring their proper use within the agencies.

The position reports to the Partner of Business Operations and works closely with the Executive Director of Business Operations. It involves shared line management of a Manager, an Executive, and a Project Manager, with additional support from a Business Analyst. This is a 9-month fixed-term role aimed at accelerating progress in automation and taking on responsibilities of the Director of Media Operations during their maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify automation and AI opportunities to improve efficiencies in outdated digital media processes by partnering with UK agency teams and leveraging knowledge of existing workflows.
  2. Scope and prioritize opportunities based on business impact and implementation effort, collaborating with stakeholders.
  3. Work with third-party vendors (e.g., Mediaocean, Adobe Workfront) and internal teams (e.g., Annalect, Luna, Business Automation) to develop new solutions using automation and AI technologies.
  4. Test solutions during development phases to ensure they meet requirements and work effectively for media agency teams.
  5. Communicate project timelines and requirements clearly to stakeholders, including hosting monthly Media Operations meetings to update on ongoing projects.
  6. Create training materials, conduct demos, and manage launch communications to embed new solutions into agency workflows, tailoring approaches as needed.
  7. Monitor adoption of solutions using our Operational Foundations framework, gather feedback, and propose improvements to enhance usage.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Basic understanding of technologies like GenAI and the Power Platform, with a passion for learning more.
  • Experience in media agencies, especially with digital channels, and familiarity with legacy processes including digital activation and reporting.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
