Amnesty International UK seeks a Director of Mass-Market Fundraising to lead its fundraising efforts, enhancing performance while championing diversity and inclusion. This senior leadership position demands a strategic thinker with a successful background in fundraising and team management.
As a global movement of over ten million people, Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organisation and has been defending human rights for over 60 years.
Amnesty International UK (AIUK) is a vital part of this global movement, working with over 200,000 members, activists, and supporters in the UK to uphold human rights both domestically and internationally.
Our work includes investigating and exposing abuses, campaigning with and mobilising the media and the public, fighting through legal action, and working directly with policymakers at the highest levels to promote and protect human rights worldwide.
At a crucial time for our organisation, we are seeking a new Director of Mass-Market Fundraising.
As the Director of Mass-Market Fundraising for AIUK, you will be a successful senior leader in mass-market fundraising, responsible for leading our fundraising directorate to significantly enhance performance and delivery in the UK, thereby strengthening AIUK's capacity to defend human rights in a challenging global environment.
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to oversee our mass-market fundraising activities, including individual giving, community fundraising, social giving, and retail. You will be part of the organisation’s senior management team (SMT).
You should be a forward-thinking, commercially astute leader capable of inspiring and motivating a multidisciplinary team. You must also be willing to be hands-on in delivery and challenge existing practices to improve fundraising outcomes.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion and seek a leadership team that reflects this commitment. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, especially from ethnic minorities, older individuals, trans and non-binary people, and those with disabilities, to help us achieve the strength that diversity brings at senior levels.
