Job Description

• Be responsible for the department's affairs and the operation of economic matters. Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back office areas are clean and meet standards.
• Create a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Ensure a high level of service to guests according to the rules and standards of the rooms department.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel areas and guest rooms, reporting directly to the manager.
• Resolve guest complaints and follow up on required actions.
• Manage department employees, oversee productivity, and ensure conduct aligns with ethical standards.
• Check VIP guest rooms before the manager's inspection.
• Participate in special housekeeping projects.
• Supervise high-level cleaning, technical work, and safety protocols related to housekeeping.
• Collaborate with all hotel divisions/departments to meet work-related requirements promptly.
• Maintain standards of the hotel and instruct department staff accordingly.
• Oversee the performance and sales of the laundry department.
• Analyze spare parts inventory and manage stock levels.
• Supervise staff work schedules, attendance, vacation planning, and training.
• Create and update departmental policies and ensure staff are familiar with them.
• Provide regular departmental reports to the direct manager.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping management experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience in the luxury market, particularly in 5-star environments.
• Strong operational background with experience in brand standards management.
• Experience in coaching and developing management teams.
• Proven skills in cost control, payroll, expenses, and forecasting.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently.
